I don’t wanna create a new account just for changing email.
I think this solution is written and referenced in a misleading way. The correct solution is to visit this Document Foundation edit page. You will need to log in. You are not signing up. What you will see after you log in is a simple form to edit your account.

The procedure is quite tricky and has been given here.
Since it is tricky, I’ll describe it again step by step:
- go to the sign-up page
- login with your current credentials
- change your email address or add another one
- logout to propagate the change
It may be also necessary to logout of AskLO - login again to AskLO
- check in your user profile that the new email address has been recorded
