Is it possible to recover an earlier version of a spreadsheet?
If you have a backup system, then usually yes, but then you usually don’t need to ask here…
.
If you activated the option of LibreOffice to “always save a backup copy” (of the previous version, when saving a file), then you may check the following thread, where to find your backup copy:
.
Without this precautions it is unlikely to find something useful on your disks…
This extension might help in the future, https://extensions.libreoffice.org/en/extensions/show/timestamp-backup
Here is the newest version of the timeStampBackup extension:
There are some newer versions with new backup file managing features. (Filter, Delete the backup files by name/date)
Would be nice if when the author decided to publish further versions only on GitHub (or elsewhere) they pulled the older releases from the extensions site and left a prominent message there to not distribute outdated versions further.
Unfortunately we (me and my son Levente) can not access to our older account on the LO Extensions page since the changes of the page.
And I can not manage the uploaded Extensions on the newer account. (there is not any visible Extension in my profile…)
Maybe writing a mail to hostmaster [AT] documentfoundation.org
could help. Meanwhile I left a comment on both extension pages.
