Is it possible to type in for example 1.10.23 in a cell and it will be displayed as Sun 1. october 2023?

Is there a way for me to type in for example “1.10” in a cell and it will be displayed as Sun 1. october 2023?

I can choose in format cell the date type, but when i type in 1.10, it displays ### only…

Any ideas?

With your Norwegian number format locale, as shown in your screenshot, you can enter:

1. for this month’s first day.
1.9. for this year’s 1st of September
regardless of the formatting.
1. gives “søndag 1. oktober 2023” if the cell is formatted accordingly. The actual value remains the same, regardless of the number format. When you change the number format to currency, the exact same value is displayed as “kr 45 200,00” because 1.10.2023 is day number 45200.
