Just started using LibreOffice and so far it looks like it fits the MSOffice replacement option but I also use Android. Is there (and when) an option for LibreOffice on Android ?

If you’re a user: see here for some slides on when it’ll be available.
If you want to contribute: see README.Android.

Although Libreoffice viewer is out of Beta in the Play Store, this is not yet the final Android Office suite we’ve all been waiting for… #Android #LibreOffice You can follow these hashtags on twitter for latests news, the good news is that finally, after five years, libreoffice for Android (with editing capability) is becoming a reality !

Any news concerning the latest Android development ?
It’s being worked on. A preliminary prototype has been shown, but I’ve seen no estimate of a date when it will be released. I plan to get as soon as it’s ready. Putting “LibreOffice Android” into a search engine gives several hits on this.
The last question here was in June and it’s now October and still don’t see it in the Play Store. Can we have an idea if/when it will be available as at least a Writer on Android? (FYI, at the moment I’ve changed on the computer to using Kingsoft Office and see it’s also available for Android, so will give it a try.)
Windows 8 are coming on phones and tablets, with full MS Office for Arm processors. Android needs LibreOffice full version to survive specially in the tablet field. And it would also be great for LibreOffice to make it available for android ( not just a doc reader. The full version) . It would generate many many users, and LibreOffice would be the only real office suit on the platform.
For the sake of Android and LibreOffice i hope that some great developers will work on porting it to Android.
Libra Office → LibreOffice (with an “e” and no space
So keen on this!
PLEASE, yes i know that there a viewers, even enough.
But for the consumer who are using tablets etc libreoffice can win a great fight by being the first to deliver an open and free Office suite.
So i hope that this can be done.
Yes, please. As soon as possible. It’s almost becoming necessary to start looking for other answers. Yuck! I love LibreOffice. Would hate to have to abandon it for an inferior, but Android friendly option. Please help, or at least update us on the status of this project.
