They just updated my computer and instead of the normal Exell I have this Libre Office version and can not find the clip board function. Does it even have one and if so how do I get to it. I use this function every day.
Edit your question to better explain what you mean with a clipboard function. Are you writing macros?
You tagged common, suggesting you use Writer, Calc, Impress and Draw, but you question mentions Excel which is the equivalent of Calc. If you restrict your usage to spreadsheet, retag to replace common with calc (press Enter twice to exit retag mode).
Also mention your OS and LO version; this will spare us the fortune guessing step.

Further to the suggestion above from @ajlittoz, if “they” “updated” your computer and now you have LibreOffice instead of MS Office (Excel), your problem is probably bigger than just finding the clipboard. Did “they” not send you a memo some time ago about what was going to happen?
Unfortunately they did not notify me. I had to request an update to run my CDK as my system was using windows 7 and would not support my CDK as of January 2021.

Nevertheless, tell us what the clipboard function is in your mind. Describe what you want to do with it (or what you did in Excel).
CDK is an accounting program we run for car dealership. OK so in my old version of excel I could click on the clipboard and and a side window would pop up and I could copy select info from the spread sheet I was on, then when I opened up a different spread sheet the clipboard window could be opened and have all the info I just copied still there so I could insert on new spread sheet. You did not have to have both windows open at the same time in order to copy and paste info from one sheet to the other.
What you describe as a clipboard window is likely neither a LO feature nor an Excel one. It was probably an extended clipboard manager utility installed on your computer prior the update. Request its re-installation.
The standard clipboard on any OS contains only one “object”, i.e. if you copy a second time, you lose the first object.
Until the utility is installed again, you have no other solution than having your two windows simultaneously on screen so that you can copy/paste or select and drag-and-drop from one to the other. You can manage to have the windows slightly smaller than your screen so that you always have a small fragment of the other always visible. Thus switching windows is just a one-click operation instead of using menus or other command.

MS Office had its own Clipboard Manager which, when MS Office was started cleared the clipboard for your convenience; a source of particular frustration for me.
I can see that trying to work on two systems that don’t talk to each other is problematic. AutoText and AutoCorrect work well within LibreOffice Calc to add repeated or unusual text but they don’t extend to other programs such as your CDK.
Windows has a built-in clipboard manager so don’t get a third party one. Clipboard Managers are often a root cause of clipboard problems, however the Windows built-in one seems to be more sensible.
In Windows click Start Menu > 
Settings > System > Clipboard, under Clipboard History turn the switch to On. This will enable clipboard history permanently. To view the clipboard history press Win+V keys. If there is text you paste frequently such as your company name and address, you can pin it to the clipboard so it is available, even after a restart of Windows.
