Is there a way I can set 'print duplex long side' as default?

Hello,

I’m using Windows 7 and have LibreOffice 7.3.4.2 x64.

Is there a way I can set ‘print duplex long side’ as default?
because now every time I need to manually set the setting on ‘print duplex long side’

In the settings of my printer, I have a similar setting, and I have placed that option on such a setting. And it works for all apps outside of LibreOffice. But every time, I want to print a document through LibreOffice I need to manually set it to ‘print duplex long side’ which is annoying because sometimes I forget it and waste, paper and ink.

The question is tagged base I suppose you won’t actually mean that. A directly opened database has no printer related settings, and no printing capabilities, imo.

This is stored for each document under menu:File>Printer Settings… button [Properties…]. Modify your template(s) for another default setting.

In Control Panel, Devices and printers, make sure the setting Allow Windows to manage my printers is unticked or turned off. If turned on, this setting means use the exact same settings as last time you printed anything at all no matter how bizarre or inappropriate those settings are for the current print job.

In Control Panel if you have set Printer preferences for your default printer then LibreOffice will use them for new documents.

Documents that have been saved after printing will have the settings for that job (except quantity) saved in the document. You can change that in LibreOffice in File > Printer Settings and then save.
