I’m a new Libre Draw user coming from Visio. My existing drawings do not scroll. Instead they step several lines at a time that makes it almost impossible to edit. This was not an issue with Visio. Is there a way to enable smooth scrolling?
No, there isn’t. This is something that needs to be handled by the software, and requires the developers to intervene. This is worthy filing as an issue although I would not be surprised if this issue is already known for a long time.
That makes LibreOffice functionally unusable for me. What a shame because otherwise it has good features. It is back to MS Office and Visio.
Personally, I have the mouse set to two lines to scroll in Windows and that works for me. Occasionally, I use the scroll slider.
The menu item View > Shift allows to drag the page around more smoothly than sliding the scroll bar. Maybe assign a keyboard shortcut to it in Tools > Customise > Keyboard. Using the keyboard shortcut will toggle Shift on and off.
