When using line wrapping in cells, I have to manually select the line to set “optimal row height”, and have to do that for every single change. Is there any way to set the table or specific rows or selections to automatically adapt the row height to the content of the cells of that line?
From my experience (including LibO V7.5.0.3) with Calc sheets with rows set to ‘Optimal Height’ :
The height is automatically increased if wrapping requires it.
If the cell content is reduced an would no longer need the previous height, there is no automatic adaption.
I don’t know if this behaviour is intentional. You may file a bug report to the
bug tracker.
Thanks. I was wondering myself, because I was sure that it used to do that automatically.
I just stumbled upon the reason why it doesn’t do it: I must have set some additional spacing for the height — then automatic adaption of height stops. Then, every change in a row that would require a change of row height requires that you manually set that. Nothing points to this change in behaviour when you change that value.
Personally, I consider this very unexpected behaviour.
