I want to use it on a high end server(ibm power8). Is it possible to install on ubuntu 14.04lts or debian (ppc64le)? does it work on high end servers?
If it is available within the Repository for the Distribution that you are considering for the server then it’s possible to install it on the server. At the utter, bitter end, you could even download the source and, as long as you also have all necessary support utilities installed, you could compile from source.
LO/OO is more typically the sort of Application installed on a Desktop machine (Run Level 2) rather than a server (Run Level 3), but if you want to run it from a High End Server (picture) then I see no reason why not.
