Java Development Kit (JDK) on macOS 10.10 - HELP

Hi there everyone,

I know there’s an answer to this question however, installing it from the location provided does not have enough information for the new MacBook Pro at the highest level of OS. All the Java from Oracle has been updated to the highest level as well.

Would somebody kindly give me the “accurate download location” and name of the ODM for this download because all the ones in the lists provided so far do not work on this machine.

Start with giving more information yourself.
It is your problem, so don’t expect us to research the cpu of “new MacBook pro” in your unknown market.
And I’m sure you can find out the version of your OS.
.
The most typical problem is : Java need to match the cpu-type of your LibreOffice-Install or the will not see the othe side of the communication. Therefore also the version of LibreOffice matters (especially the architecture part).

At the current stage there are multiple answers possible…

PS:
I added MacOS and Java to your tags, as your question is not strictly related to Base. The module can be used without Java.

OS X 10.10 Yosemite : Introduced in October 2014, and last received security updates in 2017, it is therefore not the latest version, as you claim in your post.

Furthermore, it relied on a x86_64 Intel processor.

The link you posted will download a DMG file for Arm processors, i.e. the incorrect version for the information you gave in your original post.

Hi there, everybody,

The download DMG for this problem is the last update that’s available from Oracle. It corrects the problem. However, this is a little unstable so you have to be very careful.

The patch stabilizes most of the software however, base is still unstable in a multi user network environment and will crash randomly. We will have to wait for a new update because it is on LibreOffice team to fix some of the stability.
