Detail please, as much as possible. You may need to type a bit.
Does the splash screen display at all? Does it keep displaying forever?
Safe mode is a mode where LibreOffice temporarily starts with a fresh user profile and disables hardware
acceleration. It helps to restore a non-working LibreOffice instance.
To access this command…
Choose Help - Restart in Safe Mode…
Start LibreOffice from command line with --safe-mode option
Use the start menu to launch Start LibreOffice from LibreOffice (Safe Mode) start menu entry (Windows only)
Same problem with me. I cannot open files nor LibreOffice itself. No splash screens. The blue spinning wheel appears when I click, but quickly disappears. I’ve tried “Open With.” I’ve tried using Safe Mode from the app list in “Settings.” Of course, I tried rebooting. Nothing. I’ve lost access to everything LibreOffice. Why did LO do this? What can I do about it. BTW, Windows 10. I tried associating .od files, but they were already associated with LO. HELP?
Alas, no help there at all.
Thanks for your replies, I have solved the problem by uninstalling the programme and reinstalling it.
It is now working fine.
I have had many Libra updates before and this is the first time I have had a problem.
