Latest news on preview pane in Windows Explorer?

After uninstalling Microsoft365’s office, I have a problem previewing my LibreOffice files in the preview pane of Windows Explorer because there is no preview at all. Looking for a solution, I mostly find that I have to install Microsoft’s Office again t make it work. That is not what I want, I made a step away from MS, and I want to keep it that way.

I’m on 25.8.2.2 and I wonder if there is any solution for this since I cannot find any working solution other that to reinstall MS Office. Any ideas?

.docx or .odt ?

Sorry, .odt as well as .ods are not shown. In writer and calc saving a preview image are both enabled.

There is no preview pane feature for Explorer in LibreOffice. Of course, there is a thumbnail, but that’s not what you are after, right? (I don’t know of any other solutions at the moment, other than having MS Office installed.)

Well that’s a bummer. No preview available at all. For me it’s so handy sometimes to not open the document and only have a quick ‘sneak preview’ in the document.
