Libre office draw exporting images to pdf problem

Hi there,
I made a graphic for a t-shirt in libre office incorporating several of my photos. It seems that the only way to preserve the image resolution is to export it as a pdf, but one of the photos is showing up like the wrong portion of the photo is in the crop (and not the portion showing when i look at it in the Draw program). I don’t know how to fix something that i can’t even see when it’s in the Draw program. Any ideas? thanks in advance, Krista

Are you viewing the resulting pdf in Draw? You will get an incorrect view maybe because of bug tdf#86211 , or maybe a shape used as the intersect clipping mask disappears; open in Adobe Reader
.
Can you provide a small sample odg showing the issue when exported as pdf, maybe provide the pdf too.
Also, please click Help > About LibreOffice , click the icon just after Version information to copy the details and then paste here.

[Edit]

You can export the group as jpg which is suitable for photographs.

  1. Click File > Export. In the dialogue tick the box Selection then Save as Type JPEG
  2. In the JPG options dialogue, make a note of the width shown in Modify Dimensions.
  3. Select Modify resolution and then set the resolution to one suitable for printing, e.g. 300 dpi
  4. Select Modify dimensions and enter the width that you noted earlier in Step 2. Click OK

The images will be exported as jpg at original width and height but at the resolution that you set in step 3.
If you need transparent background then substitute PNG for JPG in the above steps; file size will be larger.

Thank you very much. I cropped the photo in another program and then pasted it in - problem solved. Thank you for the instructions on how to export, I will keep them handy.
