I have just installed Libre office on my pc and produced a spreadsheet but now that I have emailed it out for them to open but despite everyone having installed Libre office viewer version 6.1.0.0. for android which was downloaded from google play no one can open it on their devices except those with a pc running windows What is the answer?
Since it works for me, please tell which version of Libre viewer you use (mine is 5.2.3 from F-Droid) and where you downloaded it from. There may be also problems in the procedure to transfer the file to the Android device (how do you do it?).

I have downloaded my spreadsheets (and Writer documents) through ftp: from my other computer. Maybe this makes a difference. I’ll check.
Checked downloading with mail: works for me with Writer, Calc & Draw documents (sorry, no Impress to test)
Thanks for taking the time and trouble but I’m afraid i remain mystified. There is obviously something stupid that I am doing wrong.
Can’t help much, I’m quite a newbie in Android.
I just downloaded LibreOffice Viewer to my Android Galaxy Tab S2 Android v7.0 from F-Droid.org. (First installed the F-Droid app, then downloading LO viewer using it). It was about a 50mb download. Then had to install after I gave one time permission to install from a source other than Google Play or Galaxy Apps; (see Settings | Lock screen and Security | Unknown sources). LibreOffice Viewer 5.2.3.1/01ec8f3 works for me. Am able to open and view an .ods spreadsheet that I emailed to myself.
Then it’s possible something is wrong with LOViewer 6.1.x, maybe compatibility issue depending on Android version.
