I have just installed Libre office 7.1. It won’t start (Win 10). I unistalled it and reinstalled to no avail. Please assist. Thanks!
Error messages?
Windows subversion?
LO 32/64 bit version?
Download site?
Antivirus software?
(The first start of the LO always slower the any other starts.)

Your anti-virus might be blocking the program from running.
I unistalled it and reinstalled to no avail.
Please note
If a problem is caused by a corrupt user profile, reinstalling LibreOffice won’t help at all, since this action won’t touch the user profile. Therefore: Before reinstalling check whether the user profile might be the cause of a problem.
To test whether LibreOffice user profile is causing the issue:
-
Right click -> Run
on Windows Start menu (orWindows Key + R
) - Type
"%ProgramFiles%\LibreOffice\program\soffice" --safe-mode
into Open text field (including the double quotes) - Click
OK
- Click button
Continue in Safe Mode
Does it start this way?

I had this problem - LO would not start and gave error 0xc000007b. I am running libreoffice portable from portableapps.com.
This is what fixed it for me:
This will occur if you turn on “Force randomization for images (Mandatory ASLR)” in Windows 10. This will break all installers and other small programs compiled with NSIS 2.x. The PortableApps.com Launcher 2.x, is built with NSIS 2.x.
To fix this, turn Mandatory ASLR back off, the default in Windows 10. To do this, click Start and type security. Click on Windows Security. Click on App & browser control. Click Exploit protection settings. Change ‘Force randomization for images (Mandatory ASLR)’ back to ‘Use default (Off)’. The change will take effect when you reboot.
I don’t know if this is relevant if you are running the non-portable (regular) LibreOffice.
