Libre Office Writer Inverted Colors

I am having vision issues, and black text on a white background appears faded to me. I was able to set libreoffice>preferences>appearance to change to dark mode and make the background appear black, with the automatic text appearing white. This worked perfectly on Calc. However, on writer the page still appears white with black text. Changing my view between normal and web does nothing. I don’t want to change the actual page set-up to a black page, just the appearance.

Try the
Tools - Options - LibreOffice - Application Colours - General - Document background
option to set to Black.

Right, that’s what I’d already done.
