When a release increases, frequently some features stop to function or continue to badly or not operate.
In this release, compared to 7.6.5.2, which i’m using for this reason since its release, the following problems arise:
- Writer - Side bar, table properties, column width: set the value and confirm: LO crashes (at least since 7.6)
- Writer - Document language setting for spelling checker: I can’t set the language (LO Writer doesen’t maintain the setting)
- Writer Spelling checker - It starts and after some checks the window freezes with all the pushbuttons in grey: cannot quit from the window
- Draw - LO suddenly quits during document save.
I’m very sad. I use LO Writer in my job, I’m a technical writer, and the usual tools in our job suffer a lot of thei age. This is the reason why I migrated to LO Writer some years ago.
I don’t know why this happens. In my opinion the software shoud be tested better also by expert, regular and hard users, as I consider to be, due to my long term software use. Undortunately, despite I regularly check about the possibility to collaborate I cant’ figure out I could make so usefully.
I removed 26.2.1 and return back to 7.6, as I did for years with 5.4.
