LibreOffice 4 Won't Start

I recently installed LibreOffice 4, and it worked fine. I clicked on the icon a few days ago, and it wouldn’t load. The soffice process shows in task manager for about 3 seconds but the splash screen wasn’t popping up. I even tried a system restore, but nothing happens. How can i fix this? I have Windows XP SP3.

Re-installing is the last thing i want to do.

First, uninstall LibreOffice by going to Add/Remove Programs in the Control Panel. If you have the LibreOffice 4.2 installer where you originally downloaded it from the website, you can simply reinstall it if you wish to continue using version 4.2. Version 4.3 has just been released though and I would recommend downloading and installing the new version.
