LibreOffice Calc pastes as image rather than text/formula

Hi there, think this is similar to How to stop Calc pasting copied cells as images

Sometimes (about 30% of the time) when I do a Ctrl-C/P or X/P or use the Edit/Copy Edit/Paste menu, I get an image of what I copied pasted, not the actual text/formula.

It happens in both W10 and W11. Any idea what I’m doing that causes this?

So two possibilities:

1. you are using a third party clipboard manager, or
2. you have a download manager installed which intercepts the clipboard.

Solution

1. Uninstall the clipboard manager. If you feel that you need one, then use Windows own in-built clipboard manager, click Start menu > Settings > System > Clipboard and turn Clipboard History on
2. Uninstall the download manager or don’t start your browser until you have finished using LibreOffice. The last is difficult as Help uses the browser.
