Libreoffice Draw, drop down menu items are too light, making them unreadable

May 19, 2023. I’m using Draw version 7.5.3.2 Windows 10. The drop-down menus drop and open, but the items are all in light gray making them unreadable. I closed and re-opened the program 4 times. I looked for a fix and I do not see any way to make the drop-down menu items darker. I also did not see a way to remove dark mode, so I could test the colors of the drop-down items. Thanks.

If the defaults haven’t been changed then menus should be readable, whether you are in Windows light mode or in Windows dark mode. You could try this in Tools > Options > LibreOffice > Personalisation and set it to Default look, no themes. Those themes are out of date.

If that doesn’t make enough difference then review the settings in Tools > Options > LibreOffice > Application Colours. There is a preset Scheme LibreOffice Dark in there too.

To make LibreOffice operate in light mode even though Windows is in dark mode then in Tools > Options > LibreOffice > View under Appearance change from System to Light

It was extremely hard to SEE where options was, but I managed. I saw no changes with the 1st solution. Your 2nd solution worked immediately! I may play around with those settings. My eyes are very light sensitive. Thank you for taking the time to read my issue and reply! EarnestAl rocks
