LibreOffice Impress refusing to play any audio

I have a major bug that has been around since yesterday, it’s that whenever I try a certain sound or music, the audio just refuses to play regardless of the file, the preview of a slide transition, starting a slideshow and that exact bug also happens, when attempting to insert animations onto an element (e.g. Text, Shape, et cetera.)

I have attempted to fix this bug by installing a codec pack (K-Lite), reinstalling LibreOffice, tinkering with the program settings, restarting my computer, checking for program updates and yet, nothing worked.

I also have evidence of the issue that I’m currently experiencing, right now and I would like some advice on how to patch said bug on the recent version of LibreOffice.

If anyone has found a working solution to the problem, that would be very fantastic.

Sound works for me fine in my installation using K-Lite although I don’t need K-Lite for the .wav sounds in your video, see Media support below.

Have you got the volume up sufficiently?
Is the sound being directed to another device that might be turned off?
WindowsSound
Can you play sounds in other applications?

I guess you have been through this and the linked pages, Media Support/Windows - The Document Foundation Wiki

So this started on march, 11 and sound was working before?
.
I’d check the updates from Windows patchday (as my LibreOffice is not on automatic updates).

Yes, I have got the volume up sufficiently I can play music from apps like browsers, just fine.

I tried to look for the muted device that the sound is being directed to, tried to tinker with the settings and failed, since the sound is still not present in slide transitions.

I was thinking that it would perhaps be a memory issue, but it isn’t 100% confirmed as of now.

I can confirm that it seems to be a problem with 26.2.1.2 and 26.8.0.0alpha0+, See this unconfirmed Bug 171283 (Dead_Silence) - [1] Audio won’t play during any Slide Transition on LibreOffice Impress

Funnily enough, that’s the report that I have done, myself.

In all seriousness, though, I hope the developers at The Document Foundation notice this and release a patch, whenever it’s ready.

It seems that said bug is only present on Windows builds of LibreOffice, not Linux or MacOS (if that’s even supported on there.)
