LibreOffice Will Not Launch

Happened overnight. Old MBP running Catalina. LibreOffice 7.2. Worked like a champ for years. Now, when I click on the application icon, I see LibreOffce in the top bar and then, in seconds, the Mac reverts to Finder.

Have reinstalled LibreOffice 7.2 from the archives and restarted the Mac.

Any ideas why? As far as I know, nothing has change in the computer.

Thanks.

Doug

  1. Shutdown LibreOffice
  2. Copy this: ~/Library/Application Support/LibreOffice/4 into the Go To Folder dialog.
  3. Rename the “user” folder, say “user.bkp”.
  4. Start the office again. I’m fairly certain, it will start with no user settings, as if it were started for the first time on this machine.

So easy, Villeroy. Thank you! It was making me totally nuts.
