Libreoffice won't open (not even in safe mode)

Libreoffice won’t open. When I try to open it, in task manager I see two Libreoffice background processes appear and then shortly disappear. This also happens when I try to open it in safe mode

This first happened on the 23rd of February this year (last time I used it before then was the 20th). I had version 25.8, but it didn’t work when I installed it and kept happening after I updated to 26.2. I didn’t download anything around the time the issue started, and my only antivirus is the default Windows one

I’ve tried reinstalling and repairing Libreoffice. When I install or repair it, I sometimes get a message saying that AMD Software: Host Application is “using files that need to be updated by this setup”, but manually stopping AMD Software: Host Application doesn’t do anything and neither did uninstalling or reinstalling AMD Software

If I were you, I would uninstall 26.2 and then install 25.8 until 26.2 is available. 26.2.0 mandates Skia, even in Safe mode so wait until 26.2 before upgrading.
.
After you have installed 25.8, click start menu … LibreOffice (Safe mode).
.
When the safe mode dialogue appears, select Configure and then Disable hardware acceleration (OpenGL, OpenCL, Vulkan), then click Apply Changes and Restart
.
When LibreOffice opens, click Tools > Options > LibreOffice > View and tick the box, Force Skia software rendering. OK and allow LibreOffice to restart.

I tried that and I was able to open it in safe mode, but it didn’t open when I pressed “Apply changes and restart” and I can’t open it again. I did this twice and both times I chose to close AMD software host application during the install

See if this question provides the answer, Starting LibreOffice freezes windows, requiring a physical power off / on restart. Cause: Graphics / Skia
