LibreOffice writer Connector Shape

I can’t add a connector in LibreOffice Writer, but I can in LibreOffice Draw. In Writer, if I select Insert → Shape → Flowchart → Flowchart: Connector , it draws a circle instead.

It’s clearly listed there in Writer, so why doesn’t it work? Why does it cause me to draw a circle instead?

I can create the connector in Draw and then copy-paste it to Writer, but that’s pointless extra step and also seems to ignore a glaring bug in Writer.

Version: 24.8.4.2 (X86_64) / LibreOffice Community
Build ID: 480(Build:2)
CPU threads: 2; OS: Linux 6.6; UI render: default; VCL: gtk3
Locale: en-US (en_US.UTF-8); UI: en-US
24.8.4-2
Calc: threaded

Flowchart’s Connector is completely different, is shown as a circle (as defined by ANSI standards), is used in pairs, and represents points on a fragment of a chart where it’s connected to another fragment.

And yes, the specific connector type you are talking about are not exposed in Writer (tdf#79356). For now, you have to use Draw.

Oh, okay. Should I mark it as solved?
