Linking objects/texts and applying animation to all objects/texts that are linked together

I created a process flow diagram for the LNG train. I have many equipment, instruments and valves in this diagram. I like to know if i can link some of the instruments and valves together and be able to apply animation to all linked object/texts such that when i click on the key text, all linked objects will change color or font size, for example. Please advise if possible and if so, how to do it.
