There seems to be a problem between writer and calc when I create an ole object calc in a writer document and paste a cell from the spreadsheet into the calc object the software reads the open calc file and gets the correct cell value. I then change the cell value and go to edit links and the value does not change when updating the cells. when the calc and writer files are in the same directory it works file, when they are in different directories it does not update the cells. Both directories are in trusted directorues - security is set to low. Using libreoffice 24 on Linux. on windows it works correctly
