LO BASIC macro script shell command issue

I have attached a bug report I am prepared to send via Bugzilla, but I wanted to give the ask.libreoffice.org community a chance to see if anyone has a solution.

@Ratslinger and @erAck have posted solutions to problems similar to that described in the attachment, but my tests appear to be similar enough to their solutions that I believe this truly may be a bug.

UPDATE: I’m modifying this post to include links to the referenced posts by @Ratslinger and @erAck. Apologies for not including them in the initial post.

@Ratslinger:
How to use shell from basic macro (solved)

@erAck:
[Solved] Run bash script in BASIC macro

I don’t want to file a Bugzilla report unless there is really is a bug. Any help you can provide toward a solution is appreciated – but please test your solution using my test code so I can easily rerun against my setup. Thanks.

Where?

@erAck: I modified my initial post to add the referenced links. Hope this helps. Thanks.

  • What happens if you run the file zzTEST.sh in the terminal ?
  • Have the file zzTEST.sh execution permission ?

Why did you delete your solution where you explained what you did wrong?

I was in a hurry last evening and actually thought I deleted the entire thread. Since the problem was determined NOT to be a bug and NOT to be particularly LibreOffice related, I thought I should remove it. Do you disagree?
