I’ve been a Libre user since 2018. For several years now, I’ve had a text file named Instagram Accounts 1.odt. Text data saved, so I was dismayed to find this morning that all the text has been wiped. I certainly did not delete all the text. The file name remains in Libre storage, but it now consists of a blank page. Is restoration of the contents possible and can you explain why the data no longer appears?
Text never disappears by magic. There are zillions of ways of doing this by mistake. You didn’t give any “technical” information about your system (OS name and LO version with its 4 numbers) not about your customary way of editing your file.
Using styles is the most reliable way of formatting a document because it requires the smallest number of key presses (thus minimising hazard). On the contrary, adding decorations with toolbar buttons or keyboard shortcuts (for bold, italics, …) creates the conditions to inadvertently hit Backspace or Delete.
Please, edit your question (don’t add a comment at this stage) to provide minimal technical information and better describe what you remember about your document editing history. Remember none of us can see your screen nor your gesture.
On a general view: Only, if you made a backup within the last 5 years.

LibreOffice also contains options to save older versions, but you have to switch this on.
