I lost all my recent edits to a file I have spent the last TWO hours working on. I know it was a hindsight on my part but I could honestly cry. I’ve recovered the file and its an old version and have tried recuva and nothing. I can see a tmp file in my AppData but it wont let me open it because its apparently already being used even though I’ve shut down Libre Office (after writing down as much as I could remember of hat I lost and saving it). Pleaseeee help, I CANNOT lose this edit.
Always save more than one backup files for your every important documents. Use timestamped filenames.

If you have something you might be able to use to recover your data copy it to another folder and work on that or another copy of that. Rename the largest file in the folder to have an .odt extension
