Last weekend, I installed a completely new PC after my old one had died of heat stroke. Everything on the computer works fine, with the exception of LibreOffice.
When I try to open a document in Writer, everything seems to work all right, but— as soon as I try to resize the Writer window, or more to the point: when I move the mouse over the outline of the window so that the mouse cursor turns into the “resize” double arrow, Writer stops responding for a few seconds and then simply closes itself down. I have tried editing that file for five minutes or so without a crash, but upon trying to resize the window again, it crashed again. The file restoration even was able to restore the changes I had made. It even happens when I try resizing a completely new document’s window
I have scoured the web for possible solutions: disabling ska, resetting the – new – user profile, disabling all hardware acceleration, I even disabled anti-aliasing. It still keeps crashing…
Does anyone have any idea what I could still try? My system is as follows: Windows 11 German, fully updated, LO 7.2.6.2 (installed as the last “assuredly stable” version after the most recent 7.3.2 showed the same behaviour), both German, all hardware acceleration options - including anti-aliasing - turned off. AMD A10 cpu, 16 GB memory…
Any help would be greatly appreciated
