Mac OS 15, JDK not working with LibreOffice, Base

I am new to LibreOffice. I’m using a Mac running OS 15.1.1 and have successfully loaded the JDK for the machine using: jdk-17.0.13_macos-aarch64_bin.dmg after several tries.
When I select the DB in the design view I get the following error message. “The connection to the data source (my DB) could not be established. No Java installation could be found. Please check the installation.” What did I do wrong? Please also send a copy of the response to my email [removed for privacy], as I’m not sure how to reliably retrieve responses in this tool at this point. Thanks.

You can configure this in your profile; click on your avatar, to the right of the subject.

Then click Emails and change the settings as you desire. I’ll take the liberty of removing your email from your message so you don’t get unexpected mail.
