MacOS Tahoe & LibreOffice 25.8.1.1

I upgraded to Tahoe w/o thinking about Libre Office being compatible. So far Calc has opened OK and managed to edit and save, etc. Little wary that something may break. If anyone knows about issues I would appreciate a heads-up on that. Thanks.

None so far that I have seen, but I haven’t tested everything yet. Database documents, Writer, Calc, all seem to be OK.

I upgraded to Tahoe, and now cannot access many of my LibreOffice files.

I get a fatal error that says “Error loading BASIC of document file:///Users/jenniferhoult19/Library/Application%20Support/LibreOffice/4/user/basic/Standard/script.xlb/:
General Error.
General input/output error.”

Have to use ForceQuit to close LibrOffice.

Suggestions?

Maybe give LibreOffice full disk access

What are we to understand by many? Any particular type of file?

The error message indicates that access to the script.xlb file in your LibreOffice user profile failed for some reason. This could be down to profile corruption, or missing access permissions.

Every time Apple releases a major new version, it adjusts its security policy or framework. This can make it hard for application developers to keep up, especially community driven, open source projects, which don’t have the resources to immediately respond to upcoming changes in OS functions.

The problem may be as simple as ensuring that the LibreOffice application bundle has complete access to the hard drive, or maybe it is something more difficult to pin down.
