mail merge to qr code

Using mail merge in WRITER to pull fields from a CALC spreadsheet, is it possible to use a text field as the input to the built-in qr code generator (menu >> insert >> object >> qr code)?

So, if I have a field from the spreadsheet with the text “hello”, then that would be fed to the object to create a qr code with the data “hello”.

Easier to do with 2d barcode Code 39, just use font “free3of9” with asterisk beginning and end
