Manual page break generates blank page

Manual page break inserted between last chapter and first appendix in order to start page numbering in other format: numeric (chapters) to Roma (appendices). However that page break produces one blank page between last chapter and first appendix. How to get rid of it?

Place the cursor in the upper paragraph marker of the blank page and press the Del key.

Difficult to give adequate advice without more information on your document. Maybe you have different left/right page styles.

Also Writer considers that an odd page is always a right page. Consequently if you text before the break ends also on an odd page, a blank (even) page is inserted because of the constraint.
