Have a hard time reading the menu in libre office 6 due to the font size being too small, can not find how to increase the size under options. Running on Linux Mint 18.3
Hello,
This is controlled by Mint. Go to system settings. Select Font
. Change Default font
.

Already tried that, but it did not work. Other applications do respond to the change in font size and type except for Libre Office. I am using the Mate desktop gui if that makes a difference.
Unfortunately only have Cinnamon. Did try Mint KDE & had same problem as you did. So far no solution. Under Ubuntu 18.04 Mate the menu changed by changing system application font but other items also changed beside the menu itself. Will post if anything else found.
I had the same issue running LibreOffice 6.1 under Ubuntu 18.04 and I solved it installing libreoffice-gtk3 package through Synaptic Package Manager.
Excellent answer! Worked for me, same in Lubuntu. Strange that it does not come installed that way in 18.04,
This just worked for me, too, under Linux Mint 19.1. Thank you!
It’s really work on system Linux Mint 18.3 and LO 6.2.5.2.
This fixed it on Ubuntu 18.04 right after installing LibreOffice 6.3.1.2. Thanks! I installed LibreOffice 6.3.1.2, saw that the menu fonts were waaaay too small, did sudo apt install libreoffice-gtk3
, then rebooted the PC to be sure, and it was all fixed!
sudo apt install libreoffice-gtk3
that solved my issue
This fixed it for me with LibreOffice 6.3, but I still see the same problem with LibreOffice 6.4. Do the later versions require a different plug-in?
