Missing direct connection for MariaDB in LO 26.2

Have installed LO 26.2.0.1, then 26.2.0.2 and now 26.2.0.3 on a Linux rpm system. Reset user profile but couldn’t connect to MariaDB with this versions.
.
Reported a bug 170410 – MariaDB direct driver is missing
but only one reaction for the version 26.2 for a Mac appears.
Need somebody, who will test this with Linux systems.
.
Note: No problem to connect to MariaDB on the same system with LO 25.8.4.2, also no problem with 26.8.0.0.alpha0+. Bug only appears on LO 26.2.

Please don’t forget Connect to MariaDB
LO 24.2.7.2
Of course it is not a .rpm but…

@CRDF The other thread was about JDBC-connection. We had solved this.
.
This thread is about the direct connection, which works in all versions up to 25.8.4.2 and also 26.8.0.0.alpha0+, but won’t work with LO 26.2.0.3. Its a driver LO supports.
You could test this without any MySQL/MariaDB-installation:

Press Base Database in main window.
Wizard for database appears.
Choose “Connect to an existing database” and → “MySQL/MariaDB”
Next: Choose “Connect directly”
Next: Database name ‘test’, Sever ‘localhost’
Next: User name ‘test’, Password required. → Test connection (Password: some characters).
You will get
A driver is not registered for the URL sdbc:mysql:mysqlc:localhost:3306/test.
Driver isn’t there

When using LO 25.8.4.2 you would connect or get an error, if database doesn’t exist.

…because I was unable to use the direct.

and because of this I see a similar issue. Mine is not a .rpm system, but also a Linux OS.

@CRDF : Your thread is about connecting to MySQL/MariaDB without any native driver (which is missing on your system, because it isn’t available or isn’t installed). So you couldn’t use this kind of connection. You haven’t installed all packages, which were available from www.libreoffice.org.
Here is how it looks on LO 26.2.0.3, installed with original packages, for me here:

The dialog shows the direct connection, but you couldn’t connect, because the driver isn’t registered.
