Missing instructions on how to leave safe mode

[Please note that i have 1 simple question in bolt]

Issue: There are no instructions on how to restart LibreOffice in normal mode if closing LibreOffice does not help…

The problem in Windows OS is that, if you have LibreOffice QuickStarter enabled, soffice.exe keeps running in the background after closing LibreOffice [Ctrl=Q]
The solution that always works is that you restart your desktop computer by clicking [Win] tab, on/off button, choosing Restart (assuring the computer is really restarted)

Who can add this instruction to help.libreoffice.org or forward this issue?

Just close LibreOffice and then open it again and it will start in normal mode.
.
Maybe you could expand a little on why you needed to enter safe mode? Is it a problem with graphics?

“Just close LibreOffice and then open it again and it will start in normal mode.” does not work in my situation. Libre Office is starting again in safe mode without question.

My question was: who can add instructions to help.libreoffice.org?
Do you have an answer to that question?

Usually not necessary. But are you using quickstarter? Then LibreOffice is not ccompletely closed and opening a new window remains in Safe mode. Combine this with modern laptops to hibernate instead of shutdown and you will never have a full restart until Windows Update may enforce one of LO crashes.

I believe that for normal operation it is not necessary to include instructions.
Closing LibreOffice when it is in Safe Mode and launching it again starts LibreOffice in Normal mode.
What you have encountered/happens to you is a problem, possibly stemming from a corrupt user profile. LibreOffice user profile - The Document Foundation Wiki

Although anyway,

  • provide information about LibreOffice version, and operating system
  • as well as indicate how you start LibreOffice (Command line, a custom shortcut, application access…)
  • What is the screen that appears when starting LibreOffce?

All of this helps diagnose faults

This seems to be a link for people that want to join the team. That was not my intention.

Operation system: Windows 11,
Version: LibreOffice 2.6.2 (newest)
I start Libre with pressing LibreOffice in Start menu.
Today i found out that i can start LibreOffice in normal mode by restarting the PC (I have read this solution in another topic)
In Windows Task Manager i can see LibreOffice running in the background after I close all LibreOffice windows, so i presume this is a typical situation. Therefor it would be good if somebody adds this instruction to the Help. Therefor my question: Who can add this instruction to help.libreoffice.org?

2.6.2 is an antiquated release. Do you mean 26.2.6.2? And isn’t there a typo? 26.2.4.2 is the “latest” release.

Yes, and this is expected. Closing windows does not close the application. To close the application, press Ctrl+Q or click the “x” (or equivalent) icon in the outer window frame.

@daniel11 did you read this comment?
To turn off Quickstarter, click Tools > Options > LibreOffice > General and untick the box Load LibreOffice during system start-up, OK.
.
Note that Quickstarter is not enabled by default.
.
One other possibility is that the update to Windows that occurred this week restarted your computer while LibreOffice was open, crashing LibreOffice which might have then restarted in Safe Mode.

@EarnestAl i followed your instructions and noticed that LibreOffice Quickstarter is loaded during system start-up. I removed the tick in the box.
