Is there a way to suppress this “moving hyphens border” when a cell is copied?
I couldn’t see any option for it.
Thanks.
If you are on Windows, you could click Start menu > Settings > Accessibility > Visual Effects and turn off Animation Effects. Calc will instead show a static dotted line around the copied cell. This is the simplest option. [Edit] Available from 24.2, see ReleaseNotes/24.2 - The Document Foundation Wiki

The first point in 161765 – EDITING: Copying cells in Calc doesn't show marching ants animation, neither in default configuration nor regardless of the expert option "AnimationsEnabled", unless the OS’s "Show animations" setting is switched on. might help:
The current boolean expert setting AnimationsEnabled: It is only used in Calc to switch off the marching ants feature, but it can’t enable it (unless _all_ animations are switched on in the OS’s setting). It isn’t used for anything else than the marching ants feature.
That setting doesn’t appear to work for me however with

Thanks @EarnestAl but I wanted the entire effect suppressing not just the animation.
I often do screen captures to include in web pages and sometimes forget to cancel the effect by pressing ESC before I do the capture.
