I remember I had registered an user here, in order to ask questions. Today, when I tried to log in, I couldn’t. Then I clicked on reset password, but surprisingly it told me there was no username associated with my email. Basically, my account has vanished into thin air. However, when I created a new account with the same email that I tried for the previous log-in, my old posts and activities are here.

Maybe your last visit was before the migration of the former ask-server to discord. So for the new system you were unknown, but older data is available, after new sign-in.

Hmm… my latest activity (before re-registering user) is indeed, in October, 2021, as I can see that in the notification history. I didn’t know this migration thing. But I’ve just re-registered user (as a fresh one, cause reset password was saying there’s no user with such email), and it now works, surprisingly by having maintained all the previous posts/activities. So, user got “deleted/disappeared”, but its activities/history remained. Thanks.
If you had a two word user name, it would have had the space removed as this site allows only single word user names. In other words, the user name might have been modified slightly
