Hi, i’m new to LibreOffice. When i first began a few months ago, i could create a template from a document as described in the LibreOffice Complete Writer guide. When i wanted to create a new file everything worked like normal: right click > create new document > select the template & it worked.
A few weeks ago i transferred all my files to back up on Dropbox. Since then my ability to open a new file w/any of my templates stopped working. Right clicking tells me there are no templates installed. I followed directions putting all my template files in My Templates like the Guide says, but it still says No Templates Installed.
What do i do next?
You do not mention which operating system and version of LO you are using. LO v4.0 introduced a new Template Manager that has a different workflow from the prior series (v3.x). It sounds to me like you have simply moved your templates to a different location (e.g., your Dropbox directory) but have not defined this new location within LO. I am not certain because greater detail is required. LO needs to know where your templates are stored. Refer this answer for setting the location of your templates.
