My vertical scroll bar recently started appearing on the left in all documents I edit (or create)

I always update my 24.2.0.3 (portable) version of LO Writer and recently I noticed that the vertical scroll bar was not visible when editing one of my hundreds of editable documents. I clicked on View > Scroll bars > View Vertical Scroll bar and it appeared, but on the left of the display. This is the same for every document i open in Writer.

I type in L to R mode in English and never in R to L. I have looked at some of these settings and cannot find one which makes a difference when I change it.

How do I position this scroll bar on the right?

Test with Restart in Safe Mode.

I restarted in Safe mode and the vertical scroll bar is now on the right as expected.

How do I make this permanent?

You should rename the folder with your user-profile, so LibreOffice will create a fresh one for you.


Compare with the wiki, but as you told you use a portable version, your profile may be below the installation folder of your portable LO
