I just downloaded the update 7.5.9.2. I can’t scroll up and down with the mouse wheel. That makes it very difficult to navigate a document. I want to revert to an earlier version until it’s fixed. I’m 80 years old. How do I find an older version that works properly?

Please click Help - About LibreOffice then click the icon just after Version information to copy details to clipboard. Paste details here - In Windows, the window needs to have focus, selected, in order to scroll with mouse.
- Have you restarted (not Shut down) your computer since upgrading?
- Is your mouse wireless? Are the batteries going flat?
- Can you scroll in other programs? Sometimes the scroll wheel wears out, I wore out several before spending money on a decent mouse.

I have restarted the computer – no change in results
The mouse is wireless, and the scroll works in Word but not in any LibreOffice since the new download a few hours ago.
Maybe a result of upgrade to LibreOffice on new version of Mac.
Typo I guess for version number. When you click on the version of LibreOffice, it takes you to a new page where you select your operating system, click on Mac. You will be taken to a new page where you need to click on either aarch64/ or x86_64/ depending on hardware, your download will then commence.
I don’t understand. When I click on the version of LibreOffice = where, on that long list? Or on my computer’s menu next to the apple on the upper left? Once I find “Mac” wherever you now direct me, how do I learn what hardware my computer uses? I think it’s 64, but I’m not sure.
Correction: I saw that I typed the typo you mentioned. Now I clicked on 7.4.7.2 and opened another page with Mac – but I still don’t know which “…64” to click on. Sorry for my errors (I also have dyslexia). How do I find my hardware info?

Find out what sort of mac you have
- From the Apple icon menu, choose
About This Mac. - Look for the item
Chip.- If that item says
M1orM2, then you have a Mac with Apple Silicon based on the ARM architecture. Download theaarch64option. - If that item says
Intel, then you have the x64 chip architecture. Download thex86_64option.
- If that item says
Reading those two, I think I have the old Intel. Let me see if I can understand what your instructions tell me to do …
It does indeed mention Intel. I will download the x86_64 option. If this works, I won’t return (it’s bedtime) so I will thank you for your time and patience in making me able to use LibreOffice again. If possible, please let someone know the problem for someone with this equipment, trying to use the newest update. And, again, thank you very much. (If this doesn’t work, I’ll have to continue at some later time.)

Unless you also need a different language pack, then just the LibreOffice_7.4.7.2_MacOS_x86-64.dmg at the top
There is not version 7.2.4.2 in the archive. The closest version is the 7.2.4.1. You must select (by usage inside links) the op.sys version, and the 32/64 bit version for the Windows op.sys), and then you will able to download the main installer file and the Help installer file(s), and - if you need it - the developer tools installer file:

THIS FIXED IT! I somehow managed to find a link to download and install LibreOffice 7.4.7.2; before doing so, I ran into more problems with this new 7.5.9.2 update I was trying to use – boxes of text would appear in unwanted places, freezing everything up, and the only way to correct it was to click on “save”, and the text box disappeared. But this 7.4.7.2 seems to be free of these new problems. My thanks to all of you who helped or tried to help to enable me to get the 7.4.7.2 installed.
The scroll issue might be bug tdf#155266 which should be patched in LibreOffice releases early next year. The actual version number of releases is shown near the end of the report
