This is a python job, and may easily be integrated into Libre Word Writer if developer team members sincerely consider.

There is an extension here, https://extensions.libreoffice.org/en/extensions/show/41988 and link to another on the same page.

With hallucinations tracking 79% for latest versions of AI it might be more of a liability than an asset.

And for the LLM it is, even more trivial, an XML job.

Sirs.
As you can see I am a poor lawyer and not seasoned software developers/ geeks like you are. I tried both Local Writer with ASAP extension but it can not help for remote LLM inference endpoints. Local Writer can work only if Ollama and local LLMs are available. But for a lawyer’s professional office laptop Ollama is too resource hungry and even 4 GB Nvidia can not generate any productive perforce.
Now, let us take your suggestion about “AI assistant with ChatGPT” extension. It only serves with Open AI / Sam Altman products with $ hungry limitations. But, now-a-days there are a great number of free alternatives available. For example Gemini 2.5 Pro and others as listed in my original post on LibreOffice forum.

I ventilated my suggestion to your esteemed LibreOffice forum, only after I tried to venture across all possible avenues in vain. In this situation only Libre Office developers can render an invaluable help to Libre Office lovers by incorporating this Third Party AI Inference Endpoints/ Open AI compatible base urls plus user api keys to make Libre Office stand crushing all its competitors in the market. No other product including MS Office 365 or WPS Office 365 or Zoho renders such a free AI integration option to their products.

For integrating additional possible features regarding the GUI and options to insert Open AI compatible base urls and secret api key and different possible actions to be opted there by the user to call remote LLM inference is upto the fine sense of software developers at Libre Office.

I feel fortunate that you have had your most valuable time and thoughts at my suggestion.

…and AI, helping in the daily work of Senior criminal lawyer, gained the missing legal knowledge and could crush humanity on completely legal grounds by putting all people in prison. :grinning:

Don’t be offended, my dear friend Abhijit Majumdar, this is just a joke based on people’s long-standing fears of new technologies. And by the way, this

too may not be caused by greed, but by reasonable caution, no?

You mentioned Gemini 2.5 Pro. I think it can work well with documents on Google Drive. Perhaps it will be easier for you to prepare documents in Google Docs using AI assistance? Google Docs can save files in ODT, DOCX, and PDF

I don’t know who advised you to place your proposal here, on this resource. We are not developers, not geeks, we are ordinary users of this office package - we will not be able to fulfill your request.
