No colors in Libre - Something is badly broken

I have installed Impress four times on my main W11 machine but something is wrong. When I try to change font color or background color nothing happens. Further, the toolbar and context bas are all black and white.

When I uninstalled it, I even remove the REGISTRY entries (that I can find) and the LibreOffice folder %AppData% Roaming LibreOffice.

On the file menu, many sub-menu items are in green.

These problems also occur in safe mode.

When I go to my W10 machine (both machines are running 25.08.04), color changes in fonts, backgrounds, lines, etc., update as I expect them to and the menus are normal.

I just want to purge everything this machine knows about LibreOffice and start anew, but regardless of what I do, the problems remain.

I would appreciate any suggestions.

Thanks,

Have you got high contrast set on the windows 11 computer?

In LibreOffice menu, click Tools - Options - LibreOffice - Accessibility and disable High contrast. Click the Help button there to see why.

High contrast was not set. Thanks for the suggestion.

Some times, to disable hardware acceleration or change Skia settings does te trick
(Tools > Options > LibreOffice > VIew)
Some times, a Theme (install / change) can be the solution
(Tools > Options > LibreOffice > Appearance)

Note that if high contrast is set in Windows then the default setting of Automatic in LibreOffice will cause the LibreOffice High Contrast to be implemented.

Your description is exactly that of LibreOffice high contrast
