No Debian package for Libreoffice 25.8.2.1

Hello Everyone,

Why no debian x64 package for the latest testing 25.8.2.1…?

Are you installing from your distro repository or from TDF site? Distro maintainers have their own criteria for including a suite in the repos. For example, 25.8,x has not yet bubbled up in Fedora 42. Since I am no beta tester nor developer, I just wait for the next distro release.

If you download from TDF, be grateful to developers who provide courtesy packages. But be aware that these packages are “distro-agnostic”. So the choice of location for configuration files and libraries is probably different from what distro maintainers have chosen. This avoids conflicts, allowing to install several versions side by side, but may not be as closely integrated as you would wish.

Hi @ajlittoz, thanks for your reply…
I’m installing from TDF site…
https://downloadarchive.documentfoundation.org/libreoffice/old/25.8.2.1/
Up until 25.8.1.1 there always rpm and deb package…
But for 25.8.2.1 there is no x64 deb package…
The arm64 deb package is available…

Thank You @fpy for the info, I’ll try the infrastructure team mailing list…

@ilmari not answering the why, and/but indicating another server → Index of /pre-releases/deb/x86_64/

Because I don’t know the why, I do not answer it.

@ilmari Thank You for the update…
I’ll look from this server next time…
@fpy yes, I already get the deb x86 package from the server mention by @ilmari
