No longer seeing "Outline & Lists" tab in Styles settings

I was given a .docx file. It has a paragraph style for bulleted lists. I need to adjust the position and indent. When I go to edit the paragraph style, I don’t see an "Outline & Lists tab.

What am I missing? How do I adjust the bullet spacing etc. The indents and spacing didn’t seem to work.

What am I missing?

Information about your LO version (and operating system).

Oh, so sorry. I meant to put it in. I have added it to the op, but here it is again:

If you place your cursor in the left column and use the scroll button on your mouse, does anything happen?

No! I tried that first. I was hoping that it was just out of view.

OK, so when I scroll over the left column, it does move up and down a few pixels. But I can’t get to any other items.

Go to Tools > Options > Appaerance and choose The tab position as Horizontal on Top at the end of the dialog.
May be this help you to change to the page Outline& List

Ah, that did it:

So that resolves the OP problem. Thank you.

Is this a bug that should be reported?

Oddly, the style isn’t actually a list style. But that’s a different image.

It may be peculiar to your system/configuration, as the scroll works for me using vertical tabs.

It may be that Windows needs Force Skia software rendering enabled? I don’t have Windows to try.

I have no idea what that is, but it looks like i have it turned on:

Just now I can’t test with version 26.2, and don’t know the icons theme (not present in version 25.8), but it seems to me that there are remnants of the four hidden tabs between the dialog tabs and the dialog content (see the highlighted part of the screenshot).

Can anyone share a screenshot with the last four tabs visible? Thanks.

Have you tested to scroll holding Shift?

  • In this version (parallel) y can scroll with the mouse to view all tabs.
  • Also in L.O. 26.2.2.2

It is shown as enabled in OP’s paste from About LibreOffice

@librebird do you have high resolution screen? I found that at 125% scaling I could see the entire list of vertical tabs but at 100% scaling some were hidden. This is odd because I have more screen real estate at 100% than at 125%. I could scroll down to see the hidden icon however.
.
Check in safe mode first to see if you can scroll. If you do have a high resolution screen, it might be worth reporting a bug, How to Report Bugs in LibreOffice - The Document Foundation Wiki . Remember to include hidpi in the title if you do, also report bug number back here in the form of tdf#123457 so it creates a link

I just tried and holding Shift does not make it scroll left to right.

It appears I do have a very high resolution screen, because when I readjust that, I can scroll properly and see all the section buttons.

But clearly this is a bug. It shouldn’t be wrapping them, especially if you can’t scroll to them.

Thanks everyone!

Most of us don’t have high resolution screens so don’t see the bug. If you don’t report it, it won’t get fixed unless someone else reports it
