cannot apply color to text
Hints:
- Switch off the “View - Value Highlighting” feature.
- Switch off the “Cell protection” feature.
- Please upload your small (ODF type) sample file here.
Another possibility is that you have High Contrast enabled and Use automatic font colour for screen display set in Tools > Options > LibreOffice > Accessibility. After changing those settings you might need to Hard Recalculate to display the colours.
I had the same problem: Black text on screen. Colored text on printout.
My solution:
- Tools / Options / LibreOffice / Accessibility
- High Contrast = Disable (Automatic[*] showed all text in black)
- Use automatic font color for screen display = unchecked
Bonus:
If you want the Print Preview to show the actual font colors, you have to also deselect "Use sytem colors for page previews.
@LibreOffice really needs to make these Options way more clear.
[*] Automatic = Automatically detect high contrast mode of operating system. Switches LibreOffice into high contrast mode when the system background color is very dark.
