Hints:

  1. Switch off the “View - Value Highlighting” feature.
  2. Switch off the “Cell protection” feature.

Another possibility is that you have High Contrast enabled and Use automatic font colour for screen display set in Tools > Options > LibreOffice > Accessibility. After changing those settings you might need to Hard Recalculate to display the colours.

I had the same problem: Black text on screen. Colored text on printout.

My solution:

  • Tools / Options / LibreOffice / Accessibility
  • High Contrast = Disable (Automatic[*] showed all text in black)
  • Use automatic font color for screen display = unchecked

Bonus:
If you want the Print Preview to show the actual font colors, you have to also deselect "Use sytem colors for page previews.

@LibreOffice really needs to make these Options way more clear.

[*] Automatic = Automatically detect high contrast mode of operating system. Switches LibreOffice into high contrast mode when the system background color is very dark.
