Non-breaking spaces have width 0 in a document that was imported from Microsoft Word in all views except in the character style view where they have normal width. They have normal width in text copied and pasted into a new document. Please advise.
This is a known bug fixed in 6.1.
As mentioned in comment of the referenced issue, the problem is the treatment of a MS Word-compatible trailing blanks compatibility option, which means that disabling the option workarounds the issue (but using MS formats to store the document will return the option back on import).
