When I scanned a LibreOffice Write file using Norton, it shows 9 files scanned. Malwarebytes shows only one. I scanned an Office doc file which shows 12 files scanned. I have show hidden files checked in File Explorer; it dose not show any hidden files.
A LibreOffice file is effectively a zip file with a different name. I suppose Norton scanned 9 files within the zip container.
