odts open all black!

Here’s a really weird problem:

Been working on a small number of .odt documents for a project at an office workstation; now at remote location and when I try to open them on a laptop, all come up BLACK, and Writer chokes! (ownCloud provides the sharing between systems, and previous projects have worked just fine sharing Writer documents).

Both systems are OpenSuSE 13,2, … the version on the laptop is Version: 4.3.7.2
Build ID: 430m0(Build:2), but I can’t verify the version on the workstation.

Would anyone have a suggestion for a possible resolution or troubleshooting?

You are describing the classic signs of an OpenGL/OpenCL bug (fixed December 2015). However, versions affected are after v4.3. See reply to Q64314 for info + fixes.
